Pay your deposit for your 1/2 or whole beef here and having to ask "what's for dinner?" will be a thing of the past! We reserve a limited number of our American Wagyu steers to sell as sides and wholes, so put down your deposit to reserve yours today.
Buying beef directly from a producer like us, and understanding all the jargon can be a bit like learning a foreign language. We understand!! Think of it like this... you are buying a share of the animal, either one-half or the whole. If you are buying one-half, you are purchasing 50% of the animal to be processed. Your deposit reserves your share of the steer and is put towards your final total. We deliver the steer to the processor where they will get the animal's carcass weight, this weight is how we calculate the final price. For optimum taste and tenderness, the steer is hung to dry age for 21 days. It is then processed. We will send you an invoice for your remaining balance that must be paid while the steer is hanging, before processing.
Weight & Cost Example:
- Average hanging weight: 800lbs
- Carcass Price: $7.00/lb (includes processing)
- Whole Beef - $5,600
- 1/2 Beef - $2,800
Following the trimming, deboning, and 21-day aging, your finished product would be roughly 480lbs of beef, 240lbs if you purchased the 1/2 beef. You will receive an assortment of cuts but a good rule of thumb is approximately 1/3 steaks, 1/3 ground, and 1/3 roasts and other cuts.
